Join a local chef on an exciting adventure to discover Saigon’s culinary secrets: zip through the vibrant metropolis on the back of a motorbike, meet locals at the markets and slurp noodles at busy street stalls to experience the city’s rich gastronomic traditions.

Today’s city street food tour begins early at 08:30 am with a chef leading the way to his favorite culinary corners, starting with Cho Vuon Chuoi (meaning ‘Banana Garden Market’), a market filled with stalls selling everything imaginable. Learn about the different produce on sale and witness locals bargaining for the day’s freshest ingredients.  Stop to sample some of the snacks sold at the market, such as banh khot, crispy Vietnamese pancakes.

Continue your journey on the bike through local neighborhoods, stopping by a flower market to take photos of the vibrant colors. Then head to the nearby pet street where ordinary and exotic animals are found.

Resume your gastronomic adventure with a plate of banh cuon nong at a popular local shop. Enjoy the delicate flavours of these rice noodles stuffed with minced pork, mushrooms and herbs and served with a tangy dipping sauce.

After a quick stop at a Cao Dai temple, last but not least, savour a hot and fragrant bowl of traditional bun bo hue (Hue-style beef noodles), and learn its preparation secrets.

Full of fabulous Vietnamese food and with a better understanding of the local culinary culture, return to the hotel around midday.
